An Honorary Society for the Preservation of Southern Heritage

Grants Info

The Order of the Southern Cross provides record amount of Grants in 2016!!

The Order of the Southern Cross’s main mission is the preservation of our Confederate Heritage.  If you are an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization and are planning a preservation project, we would like to consider providing funding to your project.

Typical grants awarded by the Order are in amounts from $500.00 to $3,000.00. For larger projects, as a general rule, the Grants Committee looks more favorably on applicants who have already raised a substantial portion of the needed funds for their project.   The Grants Committee reviews all applications and will announce the successful applications at its Fall Annual Meeting.  A check is sent shortly thereafter to the successful applicants.  Once the project is completed, we ask that a photograph and description of the completed project be sent to the Order.
